Dossier Officially in Kazakhstan
It has been confirmed by our partners that our dossier (compilation of adoption paperwork) is safely in their hands! Now we wait for it to go through the 'Kaz channels' and eventually get released to Murat's region. Then we have to wait for an L.O.I. (letter of invitation) before we can go and get our little man! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Murat in Kaz 11-07-08
One of our traveling families was kind enough to bring Matt a "Yertle the Turtle" and meet with him. Here is what she had to say about her visit in an email to me, "He is absolutely adorable. he is bright and understands what people are saying. He came right to me once he saw the turtle and took it immediately. Of course, I got a big hug in exchange for his turtle. He sat on my lap and loves to have his temple massaged. He is extremely animated and well loved. I can't wait till you get here because he needs to be in your home and not the baby house. I know they try but he will only flourish more with you and your family. He understands what a cell phone is because he took my camera and put it to his ear. He is sooo cute. You will truly enjoy him. You are very lucky." I will post more pictures as they come in. They are slow to upload!

Officially Pregnant (in the land of adoption)
We got our I-797 form today in the mail. Apparently, Rusty does not fully understand the magnitude of this form, as I had to call him to find out, but regardless, it is here and we have been approved to adopt a child by the US Government! YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!! On Friday, I am going to chase down the remaining items of our dossier (adoption paperwork) and our dossier will be done by Halloween, October the 31st and ready for translation! What timing...
In other news, we have a family that is scheduled to leave on Thursday for her little Kaz cutie and she is going to go and see our little man, Murat. With her she will be carrying a 'Yertle the Turtle' that I have asked her to give to Matt for him to hold on to until it can be replaced by his mama, papa and sister, Ellison! So we should have another update on our little guy by Thanksgiving!! Keep your fingers crossed...

Antiquities Photo Shoot Fundraiser
Our Antiquities Photo Shoot is set to take place on November 7th & 8th at Cannon United Methodist Church on Webb Gin House Road (at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Pkwy). We will be shooting from 8am to 8pm, and we would love for you and your child(ren) to participate!!!! The more people that we get to come out, the more money we will be awarded! All proceeds will all go directly towards our adoption of Murat! Please call or email me at your earliest convenience if you would like to participate or if you want more information!
